Con Boccanera Gallery Milano l’arte diritto, letteratura e società civile. Negli spazi milanesi la gallerista Giorgia Lucchi Boccanera festeggia i suoi primi 16 anni di attività con una mostra collettiva che verrà inaugurata il 18 maggio e che ospiterà le opere di alcuni artisti con i quali la stessa gallerista ha collaborato nel corso dei primi anni della sua carriera. Dal 24 maggio fino al 7 giugno l’arte dialogherà inoltre con altre discipline e realtà con ospiti d’eccellenza.

Nelle prossime settimane presso Boccanera Gallery Milano non si respirerà solo arte.
Giorgia Lucchi Boccanera ha deciso di festeggiare così i suoi primi 16 anni di carriera lavorativa nel campo dell’arte contemporanea, che la vede ormai conosciuta a livello internazionale: una mostra collettiva che raccoglie le opere degli artisti dei primi anni di storia di Boccanera Gallery e tre incontri con ospiti di grande calibro.

Chi visiterà la galleria avrà così l’occasione di apprezzare i lavori di Linda Carrara, Nebojša Despotović, Christian Fogarolli, Walker Keith Jernigan, Michele Lombardelli, Richard Loskot, Marcos Lutyens, Elena Monzo, Vlad Nanca.

Il 24 maggio, il 30 maggio e il 7 giugno l’arte dialogherà quindi con psicologia, diritto e letteratura.
All’interno dei tre talk incontri l’arte diventerà un veicolo per parlare di sè, per comunicare ed esprimere le proprie emozioni e il proprio modo di essere. 

Nei tre talk il dibattito verterà rispettivamente su:

1. ricerca artistica e collettività con la Fondazione Wurmkos onlus nella persona di Pasquale Campanella in dialogo con Giusi Campisi (mercoledì 24 maggio);

2. arte e libertà grazie alla partecipazione della giurista Daria de Pretis, giudice della Corte Costituzionale della Repubblica Italiana e vicepresidente da gennaio 2022 (martedì 30 maggio);

3. arte e letteratura con la presentazione in anteprima dell’ultimo volume del progetto editoriale Ultima a cura di Tommaso Di Dio, dedicato per la prima volta all’arte visiva. Interverranno l’autore Tommaso Di Dio, il fotografo Flavio Pescatori e l’artista Linda Carrara (mercoledì 7 giugno).

Gli eventi sono a entrata libera e verranno pubblicizzati attraverso i canali di comunicazione e social della galleria. Il pubblico atteso non è solo quello dei collezionisti, curatori, giornalisti, artisti e addetti ai lavori, ma la convinzione della direttrice di Boccanera Gallery è quella di avvicinare più persone diverse, grazie alla curiosità e interesse che una serie di incontri di questo tipo può generare in molti.

“Da tempo accarezzavo l’idea di ricreare un ambiente dove riunire una comunità di amanti della cultura, dove conversare non solo d’arte, ma anche di argomenti legati all’attualità culturale e sociale. La galleria può diventare un luogo informale dove avvicinare un pubblico più vasto e dove l’arte diventa un veicolo di incontro, confronto e dibattito con specialisti di vario livello, provenienti da diverse realtà per soddisfare le curiosità e gli interessi più diversi.”- così la direttrice di Boccanera Gallery spiega la genesi del progetto.

At the Boccanera Gallery Milano, art comes face to face with law, literature and civil society. In the Milanese venue, gallery owner Giorgia Lucchi Boccanera celebrates her first sixteen years of activity with a group exhibition to be inaugurated on 18 May, which will host the works of some of the artists with whom the gallery owner herself collaborated during the early years of her career. From 24 May to 7 June, art will also dialogue with other fields and disciplines thanks to the presence of a number of prominent guests.

Over the next few weeks at the Boccanera Gallery Milano, there will be more than just art. This is how Giorgia Lucchi Boccanera has decided to celebrate her first sixteen years operating in the field of contemporary art, which she is now internationally renowned for: a collective exhibition that brings together the works of artists from the early years of the Boccanera Gallery’s history and three talks with prominent guest speakers.

Visitors to the gallery will thus have the opportunity to appreciate the works of Linda Carrara, Nebojša Despotović, Christian Fogarolli, Walker Keith Jernigan, Michele Lombardelli, Richard Loskot, Marcos Lutyens, Elena Monzo and Vlad Nanca.

On 24 May, 30 May and 7 June, there will therefore be a dialogue between art and psychology, law and literature.
Over the three talks, art will provide the vehicle for a discussion about ourselves, communicating and expressing our emotions and ways of being.

During the three talks, the debate will respectively focus on:

1. Artistic research and community with the Wurmkos Charity Foundation in the person of Pasquale Campanella in dialogue con Giusi Campisi (Wednesday 24 May);

2. Art and freedom, with the participation of jurist Daria de Pretis, judge of the Constitutional Court of the Italian Republic and vice-president since January 2022 (Tuesday 30 May);

3. Art and literature, with the preview presentation of the latest volume of the Ultima publishing project edited by Tommaso Di Dio, dedicated for the first time to visual art. Author Tommaso Di Dio, photographer Flavio Pescatori and artist Linda Carrara will all be present (Wednesday 7 June).

The events may be accessed free of charge and will be promoted through the gallery’s communication and social channels. The expected audience is not only that of collectors, curators, journalists, artists and art insiders, but the aim of the director of the Boccanera Gallery is to bring more and varied kinds of people together, thanks to the curiosity and interest that a series of meetings of this kind may foster in many.

“I have long cherished the idea of recreating an environment where a community of culture lovers might come together, where we could converse not only about art, but also about current cultural and social issues. The gallery can serve as an informal place where a broader public may be brought together and where art becomes a vehicle for meeting, comparing and debating with specialists from various backgrounds so as to satisfy the most diverse range of curiosities and fields of interest,” – this is how the project came about, in the words of Giorgia Lucchi Boccanera.
