2020 marks the centennial of the 19th amendment to the United States Constitution, which granted women the right to vote. This year also marks the 59th US presidential election, with women’s rights taking center stage.
The Bound up Together: On the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment exhibition, held at Smack Mellon in New York, features works that recognize the results of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, which granted women the right to vote. The works presented by the artists deal with the theme of suffrage in an expansive way.
