“Take a look inside è un ritratto di mia madre, una scena che ho notato per caso, in un passaggio, che mi ha fatto sentire che stava succedendo qualcosa di ineffabile e importante, senza poter dire esattamente cosa, forse la luce o la composizione della scena, forse solo i legami sentimentali, o qualcosa di più grande. Pertanto, l’ho messo attraverso il mezzo della pittura, come mettere qualcosa di speciale in un caveau”,

Le opere di Cristian Avram sono strettamente legate all’approccio classico della pittura. Sceglie i suoi soggetti dal mondo che lo circonda e utilizza la rappresentazione della realtà come strumento per indagare le possibilità offerte dal colore nella creazione del suo immaginario. Con un acuto senso del disegno e della pittura, il lavoro dell’artista richiama la storia dell’arte, funzionando come un richiamo al prestigio e, allo stesso tempo, alla complessità di questo mezzo.
